Hello now we want explain about advantages and disadvantages of social media for teenagers. Social media in this pandemic most affects the lives of teenagers, example for places to socialize. Both with people far and near everyone can be reached, we can connect without meet each other. The next advantage of social media is that it can be a place where many creative ideas can be found. because teenagers is a phase where the desire to do or create new things is high, we can use this social media to create our ideas. 

Another function of social media for teenagers is business. starting from business ideas that we get from social media and also promoting our brand on social media. Many more advantages we can find it like get information quickly.

As for the bad impacts of social media for teenagers, namely:

- Lack of communication with people around in everyday life.

Often people will ignore the people around them when they are already playing or surfing in the cyberspace. Even in a family when gathered, family members esoacially teenagers often prefer to stare at the cellphone’s screen. So that even between families can be less communication even though they live in the same house.

- There is negative content that can affect the thinking of people, especially children.

Lack of supervision from parents to filter out things watched by underage children through social media can result in underage children opening content that isn’t educational or even pornographic content.

- Misusing social media to commit the crime.

There are also people who have malicious intent use social media to carry out their evil intentions. Often the news is heard of someone who committed fraud through social media or even news about someone who was killed after meeting with friends from social media.

- Affected by hoaxes.

What is being talked about by people is about hoaxes made by people to bring down other people or with other intentions. Many teenagers 

don’t know the fake news sources they hear can spread the false news through their social media accounts.
